# Level Shifter Circuit Explanation

A level shifter circuit is a type of electronic circuit that converts a signal from one voltage level to another. This is often necessary when connecting two devices that operate at different voltage levels, such as a microcontroller and a sensor. Level shifters can be either active or passive. Active level shifters use an electronic amplifier to boost the input signal to the desired output level, while passive level shifters use resistors and diodes to achieve the same effect.
