It is important to use the correct MCB size for a circuit, because a breaker that is too small for the load may not be able to protect the circuit from overloads and short circuits. A breaker that is too large for the load may not trip when there is an overload or short circuit, which could result in damage to the circuit or the appliances and devices that are connected to it.
